He starred on television in Bram & Alice and Ladies’ Man, and on Broadway in Fiddler on the Roof, and Art, for which he received a Tony Award nomination, a Drama Desk Award, and an Outer Critics Circle Award.

Jan Maxwell has appeared on Broadway in A Doll’s House, The Sound of Music, The Dinner Party, Dancing at Lughnasa and City of Angels Off-Broadway, Ms. Maxwell has performed at The Promenade, Manhattan Theatre Club, Circle Repertory and The Kennedy Center. Her television credits include Law & Order and PBS’s AIDS: Changing the Rules.
